STAAD.Pro Help

ADINA Export dialog

Used to specify the structure orientation of a STAAD.Pro exported to an ADINA input file (*.in).

Opens when the ADINA tool is selected from the Import / Export page on the Backstage.

The options for exporting the STAAD input file to an ADINA input file are:

設定説明
Structure Convention Select the global axis convention to use in the resulting ADINA IN file:
  • No Change

The values of coordinates and section properties are exported in exactly the same axes as they are defined in the STAAD.Pro model for both Y and Z Up models. A STAAD.Pro Y Up model would typically appear rotated in ADINA. However, a STAAD.Pro model defined with the SET Z UP command would display in the same orientation.

  • Y Up

The values of the vertical axis of the STAAD.Pro model will be mapped to the ADINA Y axis. Models defined as Y up or Z up in STAAD.Pro will be displayed as rotated in ADINA.

  • Z Up (default)

The values of the vertical axis in the STAAD.Pro model will be mapped to the ADINA Z axis. Models defined as Y up or Z up in STAAD.Pro will be displayed in the same vertical orientation in ADINA.

Limitations

The export to ADINA IN files does not include the following model objects:

  • tension-only or compression-only spring supports
  • tension-only or compression-only member specifications
  • multilinear spring supports
  • cable specifications on members
  • tapered members: these members are exported but ADINA uses a prismatic profile the entire member length instead of a taper
  • plate offsets and releases
注記: Only materials which are assigned to members or elements are exported. Additionally, a warning message is given if there are any members or elements which do not have a material assigned.
